Overpopulation & population density app experience

Overpopulation & population density app experience (FMP)
A digital application experience aimed to bring insight into overpopulation and population density around the world. The project aims to fuse data visualisation with forms of visual journalism, to bring forward a holistic understanding of the concern. It is accompanied by static graphics, text, and motion graphics enabling a more immersive and entertaining user experience for the target audience. This project is aimed at young adults and students who would like to learn about the subject and harness it for educational purposes.
Using the UX and UI environment ‘Figma’ I have created a prototype of my app experience, creating an interaction between my user audience and gathered research.
(Storyboards for each digital interaction)
As I aimed to communicate human realities as well as data in my project, I have used photography to complement the data visualisation. Along with my realities, I gathered transcripts of citizens living in these densely populated areas through documentaries, as with the BBC’s World’s busiest cities (2017).
